Switch the base on and turn the fairy to the off position, once done place your Fairy onto the base (her display stand) and place the charging cord into her skirt. I've spent quite a bit of time reading the posts and comments from readers and even left one myself! We did knock a fair few ornaments over in the process of learning how to use it though so do clear some space! As an individual in the health field, I have been in contact with a few patients with ASD and they are very special individuals.

Very dissapointed especially as i got the blue one from the US so it will be difficult to send back. Purchased this doll just over a week ago for my daughter, worked fine for about 20mins until the initial charge wore out then wouldnt charge again. The spinning skirt is constructed from a soft material so even if it hits your beloved widescreen it won’t damage it!It was quite strange, and the only way we got her down was by pressing on her launch button to get her to come back down and end the flight (tip: press the launch button once to get her to come down slowly, and twice for her to stop very quickly). Unfortunately, part of playing with this toy means it will have it's spills from time to time, as it crashes into things. If the fairy is getting tired from her flying journey, press the launch button and you can catch her as she falls. The first red flag went up when I discovered the recharging station takes a whopping six AA batteries. When she's not dancing across the sky, this pretty pixie sits elegantly on her display stand which doubles up as a charger. I won't lie, there was a lot of frustration on Sabrina's (11) part when trying to learn the operation of this toy. I mention this secondary switch because we, despite reading the instructions multiple times, missed that this secondary operational switch was there. If I remember as well, they had wings that were like a dragonfly and there were four or five of them. This was her favorite Christmas present and now she is so disappointed because she won’t do a thing. It took us a little while to suss out the hand movements to get it not to zip up to the ceiling but once we had it under control it was fabulous fun. There is a base with an on/off switch, a tandem cable to charge the fairy when docked, and a secondary on/off button on the fairy itself (under her skirt). When I brought the fairy home from the PCMag Labs for her to test, she couldn't wait to create the "magic" for herself. Once we figured that out we still had trouble keeping her in the air - she doesn't seem to "hover" it's more like she takes off and it's difficult to keep her in the air.
