Description

Please press the main button and the top button on the side of your Pokémon GO Plus + at the same time. Likewise, if you're looking to battle at gyms then the Plus won't help you out because that's functionality that you can only access through the app itself. Tap the Button-Throw Poké Ball Selection option, then select the variety of Poké Ball you would like to use.

But at the same time, you're not fully engaging with the game because you're unable to plan your route to hit Pokéstops, and being unable to see which Pokémon you're encountering means you can't put any extra effort in to catch them. We also cover timed research and special events, including Mew's 'A Mythical Discovery', Jirachi's 'A Thousand-Year Slumber', Celebi's 'A Ripple In Time', and Regigigas' 'A Colossal Discovery'. Other (past) event guides include Twitch Codes List - Pokémon World Championship 2022, How To Battle A Challenger (World Championships 2022), How To Battle Fashion Challengers, 'A Spooky Message' Spiritomb Quest, Kanto Event FAQ, and the Summer Tour 2018 Chicago GO Fest And Dortmund And Yokosuka Safari Zones. The Pokémon Go Plus can be worn either on your wrist – it comes bundled with a strap – or you can clip it on to your belt, coat, or shirt. Will it be compatible with my phone? The Pok émon Go Plus is a handy wearable that connects to your phone via Bluetooth. It’s shaped like the Google Maps locating pin, but splashed with the colours of a Pokéball. Its purpose is to notify Poké-addicts about in-game events. The Plus might not give your phone the biggest improvement in battery life, but it's helpful all the same.

Which is basically what the Pokémon Go Plus is meant to do, though the app will look to really accentuate the game’s fitness angle. In terms of the exclusive costumed Pokémon, Nightcap Snorlax, the exclusive Special Research is pretty cool and a good bonus. The rewards are good and it is nice to have this cute and rare costumed Snorlax. The Snorlax itself is a great addition, however, the tasks to catch them are quite tedious, which I’ll mention later in the Weaknesses section. Connectivity The small gadget features an LED which flashes when a Pokémon or Pokéstop is nearby, accompanied by a vibration. Better still, if it’s a Pokémon you’ve already caught, you can catch it without having to access your phone – just press the button in the centre of the device. Certain smart devices may not work with Pokémon GO Plus + even if they meet minimum system requirements.

However, you can only auto-catch with Poke Balls. There was a glitch that previously allowed auto-catching with Great/Ultra Balls, but that has unfortunately been fixed with the 0.277.1 update. If you were already looking into investing in a catching device, the Pokémon GO Plus + is the way to go. Its price is only a little higher than other devices, provides great features, and is quite useful in daily gameplay. Its usefulness is immense and it can also be used in the new game, Pokémon Sleep. The only weakness that is unavoidable is the vibration and lights, which is something I have become used to, however, it still may be a problem for you.

It's an awkward halfway house, and it's meant that when we want to play the game we'd much rather use the app itself. Final verdict With the low power Bluetooth protocol used by the device, it's lithium watch battery has lasted a significant amount of time. These problems are not completely solved by the Plus. The phone still has to use its own GPS, and additionally has to communicate with the device over Bluetooth. If the Pokémon GO Plus + is not lying flat, the main button will glow red. This is meant to prevent erroneous readings. If you see a red light, try to repeat these steps on a more level surface. Currently, there is a Silent Mode feature but that is only for Pokémon Sleep functionalities and to silence the Pikachu sounds, but that doesn’t disable the vibration and lights. Hopefully in a future update this can be changed. Exclusive Special Research takes too longOnce the Pokémon Go Plus has let you know that there’s a Pokémon nearby, it’s time to catch it! Press the button on the plus to automatically attempt to catch that Pokémon. You’ll notice the light is pulsating white, which means that your Plus is in the process of trying to catch that Pokémon. By pressing the main button in the center of your Pokémon GO Plus +, you can try to catch any Pokémon that appear. Near a Pokémon? Your Pokémon Go Plus or + will begin to vibrate, and the light will flash green. If it’s a brand new Pokémon your Pokémon Go Plus lets you know by flashing yellow, as well as vibrating.
