Cascamite – The original powdered resin wood glue with gap filling properties which ensures weather and water resistant joints every time. Ensure the wood substrate is sound, smooth, level, clean, dry and free of any dust, dirt, wax, loose paint, incompatible curing compounds or fire retardant chemicals, fungicides, release agents, sealers, or any other foreign substances that might interfere with a good bond. This new Cascamite adhesive formulation is not the same product as the Aerolite UP4145, but rather our own new and improved version of Cascamite. The powder system enables extremely good gap filling properties ensuring water does not enter the joint and produces the strongest bond. There are a number of differences between the two types of adhesive, even though they are both desigined for bonding wood and timber.

Do not apply in damp conditions, when rain is likely, or in temperatures below 10°C - between 15°C and 20°C is ideal.Unfortunately, it is not quite as simple as one is better than the other as it really depends on what you are wanting to achieve. It is now ready for use and will remain usable for 1 hour at 30°c, 4 hours at 20°c, 8 hours at 10°c. To ensure that a consistent glue mix with the correct properties is obtained, mixing by weight is strongly recommended. Ureka Global have two One Shot or Cascamite type wood adhesives which are the Aerolite UP4145, and the Woodstikk one shot powder adhesive.

Although the new Cascamite and Aerolite UP4145 are different products, you won’t notice much difference between the overall bond performance.

Cascaphen is a professional, two part glue has been specially developed for waterproof exterior use and can stand continuous immersion in water. By adding water to the stated mix ratio, an excellent adhesive is created which bonds wood exceptionally well. Protect and preserve interior and exterior wood against rot, mould, algae, fungal growth, insect attack and more with these treatments and woodworm killers. Since we have acquired the brand in April 2023, we have reformulated the Cascamite adhesive back to how it used to be many years ago. Taking the product back to it's original glory, Ureka have reformulated Cascamite back to its former glory.
