Description

Cranium Kabookii: a video game version available on the Wii platform. Activities comprise a mixture of some from the original game and new games better suited for a video game environment. Cranium is designed to be a team game, but it can be played with single players too. There can be up to four teams, and all players start at the same start point and must immediately choose a category. Star Performer - For the performer and dramatics. This activity is charades, impersonations or humdingers (humming a tune). Players must perform or act out the activity whilst the team mates are trying to guess. Creative Cat - For the creatives in the group. Players must draw or sculpt an item or clue. It could be a simple drawing or sculpting activity or item, or you could make it more difficult by having to do the activity with your eyes closed whilst the other team members try to guess. We’ll talk more about the categories below in the rules section. If the player/ team succeeds in their question/ challenge, they roll the ten-sided dice and proceed to move around the board. If player’s get their first question wrong, they will have to wait and try again on their next turn.

If your team successfully completes the activity described on the card before the timer runs out, you get to roll and move. If unsuccessful, stay where you are and try again next turn. The game has aspects of Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary, and even Ludo! But it’s very much its own unique game and well worth playing. Before we discuss what you need to play and the rules let’s take a more in-depth look at the game itself. What is The Cranium Board Game? Keep in mind that apart from a successful Club Cranium activity, your turn ends after one card. Unlike other games where you roll the dice and move your piece to determine what the activity will be, in Cranium you roll the die and move your piece after completing a successful turn. Star Performer– For the performer and dramatics. This activity is charades, impersonations or humdingers (humming a tune). Players must perform or act out the activity whilst the team mates are trying to guess. If you’re a child of the 90s or early 2000s, then you might remember Cranium. This colorful board game was a classic and still has plenty of fans today! The game has many elements to it, making it fun for the whole family. The aim of the Cranium board game is to be the first team to reach Cranium central! While this might sound easy, it will often be quite challenging. The key to winning at Cranium is to have a well-balanced team or skillset. If you are not successful, stay on the Planet Cranium, wait for your next turn, and try again. When you are successful, roll and move down the outer scenic path.

Creative Cat: This involves some sort of drawing/sculpting activity. For example, it might be a Pictionary-like activity where you draw a clue. (To up the ante, there are also clues that must be drawn with your eyes closed for your team to guess.) The other teams can nominate a final challenge category for you to complete. If you complete this fifth and final challenge, you win Cranium! But if you lose at any point, your turn ends, and you’ll have to wait for your next turn to try again. Cranium – An Educational Thrill-Ride! Data Head– For the know-it-all in the groups. This is a straight up general knowledge trivia activity, including multiple choice and true or false questions. There are also all-play cards where all the teams compete against each other in a bid to be the first team to guess the correct answer before the timer runs out. The winning team then gets to roll the dice and move.
