What are the different Husqvarna Automower models?

Underneath the robot lawn mower is a knife disk holding three razor blade knives. They are hiding under a cover plate and are mostly only visible when the disk spins. This is great because robots that keep their razor blades uncovered usually gather a lot of grass around the screws which mess up the movement of the blades. To deliver excellent cutting results everywhere, the robotic mower can be set to automatically switch mowing pattern from random mode to systematic mode in narrow passages. To make this robotic lawn mower even more time efficient you should play around with the intelligent mapping zones. Programming and features Automower® 415X is a grey-coloured robotic mower with a four wheel platform, designed for medium-sized lawns around 1500 m 2 with some slopes up to 40%. It has automatic passage handling and triple search function which facilitates navigation through complex areas, too. Automower® 415X replaces a medium to large pedestrian lawnmower.Automower®requires its charging station to be installed nearby an electricity power source, but the machine itself is battery-powered.

A positive thing with the guide wire is that it opens up for you to position the boundary wire in very steep slopes or in hard terrain without messing up the “going home” part since it now mainly acts as a “fence”, not a “sidewalk” for your robot. The only time the robot lawn mower will take the boundary wire way home is if it for some reason can’t find the guide wire, or if you program it to use the boundary wire as its main option. Husqvarna Automower 415X cost around 2700 USD. If you don’t have a boundary wire and guide wire installed on the lawn, you also need to buy an installation kit containing wire and staples. Please note! Never use a high-pressure washer to clean the charging station. Do not use solvents for cleaning. Husqvarna Automower 415X is clearly smaller than its bigger sibling Automower 430X. While the standard series Automowers, like 310 Mark II and Automower 315 are physically identical to each other even though they are meant for different sized lawns, the Automower 415X and the Automower 430X are not at all the same. The majority of robot lawnmowers use what’s essentially an invisible fence to stay in your yard. As part of the setup process, you have to string a wire around the edge of your property; this wire connects to the base station, which sends a low-voltage current through the wire. The robot lawnmower senses this current and turns to stay on your lawn. The 2022 version of the Automower 415X (and last years version if you update the software) come with a handy feature named intelligent mapping. It’s a brand new feature where the robot lawn mower analyzes your lawn by GPS and measuring data, and then saves a map of it. You can use that map to create different zones, and each zone can have its individual mowing schedule and cutting height. This means you can have one zone that is temporarily not being mowed at all, and other areas being mowed more or less often. The robot mower can be set to run at any time to suit; it is safe to operate around pets and children, and should it come up against any obstacles it will simply stop, turn around, and continue on its way. Automower® uses 3 pivoting blades to cut the surface of the lawn very little and often – you won't be able to see the clippings – and in turn creates a noticeably different, beautifully finished lawn. Automower® 415X has a cutting width of 22 cm and a height of cut adjustable 20-50 mm. Despite following the guidance on wire placement to the letter, or rather centimeter, the Husqvarna Automower 415x managed to break out on several occasions. Each time sending a text to alert us of its errant behavior. Its main escape route was at the bottom of the mildly sloping lawn, but only if approaching the wire head-on; at an angle it was fine. An onboard GPS system creates a map of the garden, including where the boundary and guide wires are installed. Husqvarna Automower will then register which parts of the garden it has covered and adjusts its mowing pattern accordingly. This will ensure optimized lawn coverage and an excellent cutting result.The Husqvarna 400 series are the premium robot lawn mowers. They have a somewhat different design, like LED lights and such, but also come with full mobile connectivity and a huge set of features (like intelligent mapping, electronic cutting height adjustment, geofence etc).
